:: learning from Moses ::

God said: I know you by name and you have found favor with me.

I said: Teach me your ways.

God said: My presence will go with you and I will give you rest.

I said: If your presence does not go with me I will not go forward.

How will they know you are with me? What will set me apart?

God said: I will do the very thing you have asked because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.

I said: Show me your glory!

God said: I will cause my goodness to pass in front of you And I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy... I will have compassion... but you cannot see my face... and live.

There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft of the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.

We fully expect
And we won't relent
Until You show us Your glory!

Hide me in your presence
And cover me with your hand
That your glory may pass before me
And I might see Your face

I want to know You
I want to see Your face
Show me Your glory!

Your glory, Your glory is what I long for
Your glory, Your glory is what I see
